Moorish Design
The Spanish Synagogue was built in the latter part of the
last century in the Spanish/Moorish design. This building
fell into disrepair during the Holocaust. Afterward, it became
the storage facility for a large collection of torah curtains.
The collection includes the largest such textile in the world, which was
commissioned by five sons with a studio in Vienna at the turn of the
century to honor their beloved parents.
