Gothic Structure

     This early Gothic structure was designed by the Christian architect favored in that day for building religious structures. The nearby St. Agnes Church is his classic. As a direct result of St. Agnes, the Alteneuschule had to be built lower in deference to the dominant Christian society and church. Note the lower box-like rectangular           structure

which was added several hundred years later for the women who came to pray.
