Vatican Images
The exhibition, Scrolls from the Dead Sea, cosponsored by the Library of Congress, the Israel Antiquities Authority, and Project Judaica Foundation, travelled to three sites in the United States, then to the Gallery Sistine at the Vatican. This banner, under which visitors entered to view the fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls, marked the first occasion since the opening of formal diplomatic relations between the Holy See and the State of Israel.
